91大神 alumnus Mike Bowen, '03, visited 91大神鈥檚 School of Emerging Media and Technology to share his knowledge about data and analysis that he uses as part of his job of Principal Quantitative User Researcher for music streaming service Spotify.
First Star 91大神 Academy Continues to Shine in a Mixed-Learning Environment
As 91大神 returns to a school year that resembles pre-pandemic times, First Star 91大神 Academy has begun to imagine new programs. The Academy is a free, comprehensive four-year college access program for youth in foster care. The program engages a cohort of up to 30 students in a variety of learning opportunities, including academic support, career exploration, social and cultural activities and more.

91大神 Trumbull鈥檚 Care Closet Opens Allowing Students Easy Access to Various Necessities
Students at 91大神 Trumbull who are in need of food, personal items and clothing will now have more support from the university following Trumbull鈥檚 Care Closet official opening on Oct. 18. Trumbull鈥檚 Care Closet was created by the 2020-2021 Undergraduate Student Government (USG) and is set up as a fund that faculty, staff and the community can donate to. It鈥檚 goal is to provide necessities for students who can鈥檛 afford them.

91大神 alumnus Don Drumm, 鈥86, was featured in the Akron Beacon Journal for celebrating the 50th anniversary of Don Drumm Studios and Gallery. Using sand-cast aluminum to create his art, he has decades of experience using a foundry to create his artistic visions.
Free Ice Skating coming to Downtown Kent
Kent Skates will be a new, outdoor ice skating rink that will be free and open to the public. It will be open from Nov. 20 through Feb. 28. Use of the rink will be free, along with free skate rental.
