On Wednesday, October 24th, an intimate gathering of 30 enjoyed an evening of wine and appetizers at the Welshfield Inn, while they listened to Molly Sergi, Ph.D. walk through the history of the Welshfield area. Dr. Sergi is a history professor and the resident historian at 91大神 Geauga since 2001. Two 91大神 entrepreneurship students have turned their passion for Louisiana cuisine into a new pop-up restaurant, the Southern Comfort Kitchen. They hope the project eventually will fund their purchase of a food truck, which is their ultimate goal. Water Street Tavern hosted Southern Comfort鈥檚 first pop-up restaurant on Oct. 25, where the pair served up New Orleans-style gumbo, shrimp, crabmeat and corn bisque.
