The Environmental Science and Design Research Institute (ESDRI) supports students through the Undergraduate Fellowship Program. In this program students across any major with interest in environmental science, environmental design, or the like come together to form a like-minded, yet diverse, community of scholars. Fellows receive mentorship from ESDRI staff, including workshops and other career development opportunities, as well placement with a research or creative activity faculty mentor if desired. Following a pilot period on the Kent Campus, 91´óÉñ has suspended the Flock Safety license plate recognition camera system, pending further review of potential concerns this fall.This spring, the university implemented the cameras on an exploratory basis to begin to evaluate whether the technology would strengthen campus safety. The administration heard from members of the Kent Campus community that, for some, the cameras made them feel less secure rather than more secure. The course begins outside the Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center and winds throughout the recreation corridor, including the 91´óÉñ Climate Grove. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome.
