- Students are required to achieve a grade of at least a "C" or better in each RIS core course within the program curriculum.
- If a final grade lower than "C" is earned in any required RIS course, including clinical courses, the student will not be permitted to progress in the sonography coursework sequence.
- Students are required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 or better for all classes taken at 91´óÉñ. See KSU Undergraduate Catalog for information on student probation and dismissal from the University.
- Students are required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or better for all professional level (RIS) coursework.
- If a student achieves a semester GPA of less than 2.75 in professional level (RIS) coursework, the student will be placed on probation. If a student fails to earn or maintain a cumulative professional level GPA of 2.75 or better for a second semester, the student will not be permitted to progress in the sonography coursework sequence.
- Students who are unable to progress in RIS courses in a given semester can request to re-enter the program the next time that course is offered (usually the next year as courses are offered only once each academic year).
- Students who request re-entry should refer to the policy on re-entry into the program.
- Students who are unable to progress in sonography coursework who do not desire attempting re-entry will be assisted through referral for counseling and guidance in redirecting their program of study.
