Hiring Steps for Part-Time Faculty
- Complete the electronic offer letter found here: .  
- Instructions for creating the letter can be found here: PT Faculty Letter Instructions
- You will receive an email when your new hire has signed the document. Download the completed document and attach to the role form.
- Submit a form for your new PT faculty hire.
- the signed PT faculty offer letter must be attached to the role form.
- Academic Personnel will send your new PT faculty member a “Welcome “ email with instructions on how to access their email.
- Academic Personnel will send employment forms to the PT faculty member via electronic signature platform.
- Included in the employment forms are instructions for scheduling an appointment to confirm the identity of your new hire for the Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9.
- The I-9 must be finalized in person before the new-hire may begin working. 
- A regional campus representative may complete this process on behalf of Academic Personnel.
- Once the new hire completes all documents and verifies work authorization, the department will be notified by email.
*If a former PT faculty member has not had an active assignment within the last year, you will need to follow the steps above.
