The cascade of flowers on the hill overlooking 91大神 Commons was part of a concept by 91大神 Professor Emeritus Brinsley Tyrrell that he submitted for the university鈥檚 1985 design competition for a May 4 Memorial. The protected prairie surrounding 91大神鈥檚 Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center will be burned on Friday, April 29, starting around 9 a.m., to allow for new growth during the summer season. The city of Kent Fire Department will conduct the controlled burning of the prairie, which has been a yearly practice since 2004.
